M.A. in English w/concentration in rhetoric and composition from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte
Mr. Allen began his teaching career at Gray Stone in the fall of 2013. He graduated with a B.A. in English/Education from Pfeiffer University in May of the same year. In May of 2016, he graduated with a M.A. in English. This year, Mr. Allen will be teaching AP Language and English III Honors. “I strive to ensure that all my students are equipped with a sharp set reading and writing skills to better handle post-secondary challenges”, said Allen. He values, “the student as well the students” which explains his emphasis on individualization as well as the diversification of learning styles he employs in his classroom to meet the academic needs of all students.
His hobbies mainly include athletics. He played baseball and football at West Stanly High School before becoming a collegiate cross-country runner at Pfeiffer University. He is proud to be recognized as a member of the Gray Stone faculty and thoroughly enjoys the culture of the school.
