Mrs. Plyler was formerly employed by Stanly County Schools and the Greenwood Center. Although her degree was a K-6 certification, she started out her career teaching preschoolers with developmental disabilities in 1990. After spending 2 years with the Greenwood Center preparing students to enter kindergarten, she began teaching middle school with Stanly County Schools and expanding her teaching license to include K-12 AIG and a 6-9 certification in middle school math. Following an 8 years absence to stay at home with her children, Mrs. Plyler seized the opportunity to teach Math at Gray Stone. She firmly believes that learning is a lifelong endeavor everyone should pursue daily. Gray Stone gives her the platform to share her belief to never stop learning.
"It's not what you do for your children, it's what you teach them to do for themselves that makes them successful human beings." -Ann Landers
