- Instructor of Natural Sciences
B. S. East Carolina University
I grew up in Statesville, NC and moved to the Outer Banks of North Carolina prior to the start of high school. I graduated from Currituck County High School, ironically enough also the Knights. I went to East Carolina University where I majored in Construction Management and Environmental Science. Upon graduation I joined a small engineering and construction firm working as an Environmental Engineer and Project Manager. After 10 years I had the desire to become an educator and work with kids to understand the importance of science.
I have traveled the world and have visited 22 countries many with my wife Stephanie by my side. We have been married for 20 years and we have one son who we adopted from Vietnam in 2008. We have recently moved from Smithfield, NC to the Kannapolis area to call home.
I like to use my experience as an Environmental Engineer to bring science information to my students so they can understand its place in our society as well as their potential career paths.
This is my second year at Gray Stone and I will also coach the Men’s and Women’s Varsity Soccer. I am very excited to be here and look forward to a great year.
