Gray Stone Day School Expands Educational Opportunities for High School Students

Misenheimer, NC – Gray Stone Day School is excited to announce an expanded opportunity for its high school students beginning next year.
Building on its longstanding partnership with Stanly Community College, the school is offering students even greater flexibility to achieve their academic goals while preparing for future success.
For many years, Gray Stone students have had the opportunity to take college-level courses through Stanly Community College, earning credits that are transferable to North Carolina public universities.
Now, students will have the option to pursue an associate degree in select programs, completing this advanced qualification during their four years of high school.
Students at Gray Stone can now tailor their education to meet their aspirations.
Those aiming for admission to competitive four-year universities can focus on Advanced Placement (AP) courses to ensure they are prepared for the challenges of college-level academics.
Alternatively, students may opt to take college courses through Stanly Community College, accelerating their path to a bachelor’s degree—often completing it in three years or less—or preparing to enter the workforce with an associate degree.
“This new opportunity aligns perfectly with Gray Stone’s mission to prepare students for the rigors of college and beyond,” said Helen Nance, Chief Administrative Officer.

In the future, some college courses will be taught as seated classes on the Gray Stone campus, further enhancing accessibility and convenience for students.
