At the Henderson County courthouse, Gray Stone secured a first-place finish against Gaston Christian School.
The team continued its strong showing at the Lincoln County courthouse in Lincolnton, where they earned second place in a competitive round against Kairos Christian Classical Homeschool Co-Op.
Individual team members were also recognized for their exceptional performances in the courtroom.
Sophomore Paisley Rocco earned a Best Attorney award, while sophomore Rohan Joseph received a Best Witness award.
Senior Addison McGuire had an especially remarkable showing, earning both a Best Witness and a Best Attorney award for her outstanding advocacy and versatility during competition.
In addition to these honors, several Gray Stone students received Star Awards for their exemplary performances.
Those students include Brinley Goodman, Mark Morton, Teddy Morton, Addison McGuire, Polly Nantz, Suzana Hoffman, Paisley Rocco, Lindsey Stirewalt, Kaelyn Crowell, and Michael Bristol.
Adding to the team’s courtroom success, Gray Stone participated in the courtroom artist competition for the first time in school history—and made an immediate impact.

Their detailed and expressive artwork reflected the intensity and professionalism of the proceedings.
With their first-place finishes, both the Mock Trial team and courtroom artist Amelia Barney will advance to the state finals, which will be held at Campbell Law School in mid-March.
There, they will compete against other regional champions from across North Carolina.
Gray Stone’s strong performance highlights the dedication, preparation, and teamwork of its students and coaches.
The school community looks forward to cheering them on as they represent Gray Stone at the state level.
