Homecoming King and Queen: Grant Shafter and Piper Mauldin
Gray Stone Day School held its annual Knightfest on Friday, October 7 th for both middle and high school students.
Preceding the homecoming soccer game, the event was planned and executed by Melissa Eudy’s high school Leadership class.
For the past two months, the class worked diligently securing vendors and working alongside parent volunteers.
Leading up to Knightfest, the Leadership class also planned Spirit week that included a pep rally celebrating all Fall student-athletes and a lively lip-sync battle involving staff, faculty and administration.
While middle schoolers enjoyed inflatables, cornhole, and face painting, high school students dressed in neon colors enjoyed a neon light-up photo booth and music by DJ Larry Burris with Sound Creations.
Food was available for purchase from food trucks as well as the Lance, the parent-organization for the school.
During halftime of the Gray Stone Men’s Soccer team victory of 2-1 over Uwharrie Charter, a Homecoming crowning took place.
After a school-wide vote, Grant Shafer and Piper Mauldin were crowned the 2022 Queen and King, respectively.
